About Bob & Peg Haigis
Both
Bob & Peg are retired professionals and very healthy and active. They enjoy a
multitude of educational and outdoor activities. Both are non-smokers. Bob spent most of
his working years in the fire protection/prevention industry. Bob enjoys swimming, hiking,
fishing, cross country skiing, canoeing and kayaking. Also, motorcycle touring and being
with his grandchildren. In addition, he does volunteer work, and is a freelance writer.
Together with his wife he authors a monthly column for the local newspaper, The New
Uxbridge Times, titled Wanderlust, and has also been published in several national
magazines. He enjoys working around the house, and helping Peg with her gardens. Of course
his main focus of recreation is travel.
Peg
was director of Audio Visuals at Wellesley College for much of her working career, and
joins Bob in most of his activities. In addition she enjoys reading, decorating, cooking
and is a dedicated gardener, having created magnificent displays surrounding their home.
Both have an insatiable thirst for travel, fine food and wines.
Their travels have taken them to over 30 countries, and nearly as
many home exchanges. They have returned to both Mexico and Greece so
many times that they count them as second homes.
